Get involved

Berlin.rb runs on its community.

Speakers bring the talks, companies bring the room and the food. Tell us what you’d like to do and an organizer gets back to you.

Give a talk

Deep technical talks, lightning talks about something you built, lessons-learned stories. First-time speakers are very welcome, and we’re happy to help you shape the idea.

  1. You send a proposal. A title and a few sentences is enough.
  2. An organizer replies. Every proposal lands on our board and gets a human answer.
  3. We pick a date together, from the ones you ticked. Meetups are on the second Tuesday of every month.
  4. You speak, we record. Your talk goes on YouTube and this site, unless you’d rather it didn’t.

Each evening has 80 minutes of stage time, usually two talks. Times include questions.

Dates that work for you Tick every one you could do. Dates without enough stage time left are greyed out.

Host a meetup

Meet Berlin’s Ruby developers in your own office. We bring the speakers and the audience; you bring the space for one Tuesday evening, 18:30 to 22:00.

What a venue needs

  • Room for about 60 to 80 people, seated
  • A screen or projector with HDMI
  • Wheelchair access, or a clear note about it
  • Food and drinks, or a sponsor who covers them
